What a crazy day! This first day of school started in a whirlwind of wake up, get dressed, get breakfast, fix hair-do's, drive to school, get the three kids to each class, "Bye Parents!", back home, out the door for Mommy Stuff that had to get done, back to school and pick up kids. Finally it is nearly five p.m., backpacks are checked, notes are signed, paperwork is complete, and we can finally settle down! WHEW!! What a day!
The kids had a blast on the first day though and all came out of school just as excited as we entered it this morning and there was a smile on every face! I even got a blow by blow of event from my VERY shy daughter who usually you have to coax anything out of. I was so proud! My baby boy started his first day of Kindergarten and never looked back, never missed a step! He marched himself right on down the hall straight to his class and went straight to his seat. He finally looked up from his morning activity long enough to say, "Bye, Mom and Dad!", and let me get a picture. He was done and ready for his day to begin. I wanted to cry, he is so independent! Then of coarse, at the end of the day when I picked everyone up from school, I am sitting in the car line and Big Brother is seeing everyone safely to the car, Little Brother and Sister in tow! LOVED IT!! That is when I got my tear in the eye for day! Hope everyone had an Awesome first day of school!
